Thursday, March 26, 2015

At 5:11pm, Denton VFD (300), RVFD (400), Greensboro VFD (600), and QAHVFC (Talbot Co.80) were alerted for a commercial building fire at 110 Franklin Street in downtown Denton.  As units began to make response, Denton PD arrived on scene and advised that there heavy fire and smoke showing.  Chief-3 (Porter) arrived and established command.  Denton VFD first engine arrived and began the aggressive interior attack.  RVFD Eng.401 (5 w/DC Winchester) arrived and laid a 4" supply line in the alley way off Second Street to supply Eng,302.  Eng.401's crew advanced an additional hand line to the second floor and assisted with fire suppression.  Crew of Squad-405 also assisted interior attack and overhaul.  Command called for second alarm to relieve interior crews.  Within a hour, and a great job to first in crews, the fire was placed under control.  Some pictures courtesy of Bruce Secrist, Delmarva Fire Photography.
